Duluth Construction Debris Hauling

A remodel leaves heavy, clumsy waste behind: drywall offcuts, lumber full of nails, ripped-up tile and stacks of old shingles. We hand-load it, take it away and sweep so your home is livable again. The estimate costs nothing, and you know the price before any lifting starts.

What construction debris removal covers

This service is for the waste a project leaves at your home, whether you did the work yourself or a contractor left the cleanup to you. Kitchen and bath tear-outs, flooring swaps, deck demolition, drywall repairs and reroof leftovers all fit. We come to you, load what you point to and take it off the property in one trip when the volume allows.

Debris is cheaper to remove now than later. A pile of framing scrap left in the yard soaks up rain, rots, and gives termites, which are active across the Georgia Piedmont, a place to settle near your foundation. Loose roofing nails migrate into the lawn and find tires and mower blades. Paying once for a clean haul usually costs less than the repairs a lingering pile invites.

What we take and how we take it

Drywall and plaster

Drywall is heavy for its bulk, and soaking up water makes it heavier still. Loose crumbs and dust get bagged so none of it spreads over your driveway as we carry it.

Lumber, plywood and OSB

Subfloor, studs, sheathing and deck boards usually still have screws and nails in them. We wear gloves to handle them and load them flat so they don't tear bags or catch on door frames.

Roofing shingles and underlayment

Few materials we haul are as dense as asphalt shingles, so they go in low with the weight spread over the truck bed. Felt and synthetic underlayment ride along with them.

Tile, cabinets and fixtures

Porcelain and ceramic tile, chunks of mortar, old countertops, vanities, sinks and toilets from a kitchen or bath demo. Sound cabinets are set aside for donation when we can.

Flooring and carpet

Vinyl plank, laminate and hardwood scraps, plus carpet and pad. Carpet gets rolled tightly so it packs well and doesn't drag debris through the house.

Sweep-up when we finish

Once loaded, we sweep the work area and run a magnet for loose fasteners, leaving the spot ready for your family or the next trade.

Signs it is time to clear the job site

The pile is blocking the work
When scrap stacks up in the garage or driveway, installers lose room to stage new materials. Clearing it keeps the rest of the project on schedule.
Wood has been sitting in the rain
Wet lumber and drywall start to mold and rot within days in humid weather. The longer it sits, the heavier and messier it gets to move.
Your contractor did not include haul-off
Many bids cover demolition but not disposal. If the crew left the waste behind, we can take it so you are not stuck with it.
You are finishing a DIY project
Weekend remodels create more debris than most people expect, and household trash service will not take bulky construction material.
Nails are turning up in the yard
Roofing and framing nails scatter fast. That is a safety problem for kids, pets and tires, and a sign the debris has been around too long.

How a debris haul runs

  1. 1

    Call and site visit

Tell us about the project and about how much debris remains. We visit for a free on-site estimate, check the material and the access, and give you a clear price.

  2. 2

    Price first, no surprises

Before loading begins, you get upfront pricing with no hidden fees. Add items on the day and we explain the price change before taking them.

  3. 3

    Careful loading

Debris goes out by hand, with floors and door frames protected along the way and heavy tile and shingles kept away from finished surfaces.

  4. 4

    Sweep, sort and haul

After sweeping and running the magnet, we drive the load away. Clean wood, metal and reusable fixtures go to recycling or donation where accepted, and the rest is disposed of properly.

What moves the price of debris removal

Construction waste is priced mainly by how much room it takes in the truck and how heavy it is. A small pile of carpet and a small pile of tile can look the same and cost very different amounts to dispose of. We look at the material in person so the estimate matches the actual load.

Material weight
Shingles, tile, concrete and wet drywall weigh far more per cubic yard than lumber or carpet. Disposal facilities charge by weight, so dense loads cost more.
Total volume
How much of the truck the debris fills is the starting point for every quote. Breaking down bulky pieces ahead of time can reduce the space they need.
Access and carry distance
A pile at the curb loads faster than debris on a second floor or in a basement with a narrow stair. Longer carries take more labor.
Sorting and recyclables
Loads that are mostly clean wood or metal can often go to recycling instead of landfill, which can help the overall cost.

Construction debris questions

Will you haul concrete and brick?
Yes, in modest amounts like a cracked patio section, a few steps or spare block. Masonry is very heavy, so we check it at the estimate to keep the load within safe truck limits. A big slab demolition can need more than one trip.
What won't you take?
We can't take hazardous waste, including asbestos-containing material, liquid paint and solvents. Some floor tile, older textured ceilings and certain siding may contain asbestos, so get it tested before demolition if you are not sure. Empty containers and dried latex paint cans are usually fine.
Should I bag or pile everything before you come?
No, loading is our job. Keeping the debris in one spot and moving obvious trash aside makes it quicker, but there is no heavy lifting for you.
Can you haul while my contractor is still on the job?
Yes. Plenty of customers book one haul after demolition and a second when the job wraps up. Same-day and next-day service is available, depending on our schedule when you call.
Do you work beyond Duluth?
We cover Duluth and the towns around it, including Suwanee, Johns Creek, Norcross and Lawrenceville. The full list is on our Service Areas page.
