Duluth Garage Cleanouts

Can't park in your garage anymore? Show us what you are keeping and we haul out everything else: dead mowers, warped shelves, piles of damp boxes and that spare fridge. You get the floor back, and you know the price before anything is lifted.

What a Garage Cleanout Covers

A garage cleanout is a full or partial clear of the space: everything on the floor, on the shelves, in the rafters and along the walls that you decide to let go. We do the carrying, the sorting into donate, recycle and dispose piles, and the hauling. You make the decisions and we handle the weight.

It is the right call when the garage has turned into storage nobody opens. Cardboard sitting on a concrete slab wicks up moisture, so the bottom box in a stack often holds mildewed paper and rusted hardware by the time anyone looks. In Georgia's humid summers that happens faster than most people expect. Clearing it now is usually cheaper than replacing what the clutter slowly damages, including the car that has been parked in the driveway under pollen and sun for years.

What We Handle in Your Garage

  1. 01

    Shelving and workbenches

We take apart particleboard shelving that has swollen at the joints, wire racks and homemade workbenches. Wall-mounted units come down from their brackets, and we leave the anchors for you unless you ask otherwise.

  2. 02

    Yard and outdoor equipment

Dead mowers, string trimmers, rusted wheelbarrows, broken patio furniture and old grills. Small engines should have the fuel drained before pickup, and we will tell you on the estimate visit if anything needs that first.

  3. 03

    Garage fridges and freezers

An older second fridge in a hot garage runs its compressor hard and can draw a surprising amount of power. We haul refrigerators and chest freezers as part of the cleanout. Our appliance removal page covers that work in more detail.

  4. 04

    Boxes, bins and loose clutter

Holiday decorations, kids' gear, sports equipment, tile leftovers and the boxes from every move. We bag the loose items and sweep up behind them.

  5. 05

    Rafter and overhead storage

Items stored on ceiling racks or across the joists get brought down carefully, since old plywood platforms can be brittle and loaded heavier than they were built for.

Signs Your Garage Is Due for a Cleanout

  • The car lives in the driveway

If the bay meant for your car holds boxes, the vehicle takes the heat, sap and pollen instead. Paint and interior plastics age faster outside, which is a real cost over the years.

  • Musty smell or mildew on boxes

A damp, sour smell usually means cardboard or fabric is pulling moisture off the slab. Mildew spreads to anything stored nearby.

  • Droppings or chewed packaging

Mice and roaches nest in undisturbed cardboard and stored birdseed or pet food. Removing the clutter takes away the shelter.

  • Rust on tools you meant to keep

Steel left on a damp floor or in a closed box rusts quickly. Clearing out what you no longer use lets you store the good tools up off the concrete where they last.

  • You cannot reach the panel or water heater

Many garages hold the electrical panel, water heater or HVAC unit. Blocked access slows a repair visit and can be a safety problem.

How a Garage Cleanout Day Runs

  1. 1

    Free on-site estimate

We look at the garage in person, note bulky or heavy items and anything we cannot take, and give you a written price. There is no obligation to book.

  2. 2

    You mark what stays

Before loading, we walk the space with you. Tape, a tarp or a cleared corner works fine for setting aside keepers.

  3. 3

    Sort, carry and load

We pull items out to the driveway, separate donation and recycling candidates from true trash, and load the truck. Scrap metal and usable furniture go where they can be reused when possible.

  4. 4

    Sweep and final walk-through

Once the floor is clear we sweep the slab so you can see its condition, including any cracks or oil stains. You check the space before we leave.

What Moves the Price of a Garage Cleanout

We quote on site because two garages of the same size can hold very different loads. You get upfront pricing with no hidden fees, so the number we give you is the number you pay for the work we described. These are the things that change it.

Volume of material
The main driver is how much space your items take up in the truck. A half-full one-car garage and a packed two-car garage are very different jobs.
Weight and density
Concrete, tile, paint-free lumber scraps and old cast iron weigh far more than boxes of clothes, and disposal sites charge by weight.
Disassembly and access
Built-in workbenches, overhead racks and fridges that must be maneuvered around a parked car add labor time.
Items needing special handling
Appliances with refrigerant, tires and mattresses can carry their own disposal fees, which we list separately on your estimate.

Garage Cleanout Questions

Can you take old paint, gasoline or pool chemicals?

Liquid paint, fuel, pesticides and pool chemicals cannot ride in a truck with general junk. We will point them out on the estimate visit so you can set them aside. Fully dried latex paint cans are a different case, and we can tell you how to handle the ones you have.

Do I need to sort everything before you arrive?

No. It helps if you decide what you are keeping, but we do the sorting into trash, recycling and donation piles as we load. Many people only make keep decisions as items come out, and that is fine.

Will you clean out the attic or storage above the garage too?

Yes, if we can reach it safely. Tell us about it when you call so we can look at the access and the platform during the estimate.

Is a cleanout worth it compared with renting a storage unit?

A storage unit is a monthly bill that continues for as long as you keep the items, and most stored things lose value while they sit. A one-time cleanout costs once and returns the space you already pay for. If you already rent a unit, our storage unit cleanouts page explains how we empty those.

Do you serve towns around Duluth?

Yes. We do garage cleanouts in Duluth and nearby places such as Suwanee, Lawrenceville and Peachtree Corners. Our service areas page lists the rest.
