Furniture Removal in Duluth
We take apart, carry out and haul away the furniture you are done with, from a single recliner to a full bedroom set. You get a clear price before we lift anything, and the pieces worth saving go to donation instead of the landfill.

When hauling it away beats keeping it
Most furniture fails in predictable places. Sofa frames built from stapled particleboard crack at the arm joints. Foam cushions lose their loft after several years and stop springing back. Dresser drawers on cardboard bottoms sag, and laminate veneer peels once it swells. Once the frame or the box itself is failing, a reupholstery or repair bill can run close to the cost of a new piece that will last longer.
We help you make that call honestly. If a solid hardwood table or a dovetailed dresser only needs new hardware, we will tell you it is worth keeping. If it is a pressed-wood bookcase that has bowed in the middle, we take it away and you put the money toward something that holds up.
Furniture removal is one part of our broader junk removal work. If you are clearing out appliances too, our appliance removal page covers that separately.

What comes with a furniture pickup
- 01
Removal from any room
We carry pieces out of upstairs bedrooms, finished basements, sunrooms and back decks. There is no need to haul anything to the curb ahead of time.
- 02
Taking pieces apart when needed
Bed frames, bunk beds, modular desks and some sectionals separate at their bolts and cam locks to fit through narrow stairwells. We bring the hand tools for it.
- 03
Protecting floors and doorways
Door frames get padding and hardwood or carpet gets runners along the way out. A loaded sleeper sofa can top a hundred pounds, and corners are where walls take the hits.
- 04
Setting aside donations
Clean, usable pieces are held for donation when a local charity will accept them. Items that are torn, stained or broken go to proper disposal.
- 05
Sweeping up afterward
With the room cleared, we sweep up the dust, felt pads and stray screws that always hide under a couch.
Questions about Furniture Removal?
Call(404) 500-0217How to tell a piece has had its run
The frame wobbles or creaks
When a sofa sways side to side as you sit, a rail has usually split or a corner block has failed. That is a structural problem, not just a cosmetic one.
Particleboard that has swelled or bubbled
Particleboard that soaks up moisture swells and crumbles, and it never shrinks back. Through humid Georgia summers, furniture kept in a garage or damp basement shows it first.
A mattress dip deeper than an inch or two
Body impressions that stay put mean the foam or coils have worn out. Flipping it or adding a topper seldom helps for long.
Recliner or sleeper mechanisms that stick
Worn pivot rivets and bent linkage arms cause the mechanism to jam or pinch. Parts tend to be model-specific and difficult to track down.
It no longer suits the room or your plans
A move, downsizing or a new baby can leave good furniture without a place. We can send those pieces toward donation.
What happens on pickup day
- 1
Estimate at your home
We check every piece, the way out and any stairs or tight corners. Before anything starts, you get a price up front with no hidden fees.
- 2
Get the route ready
Door frames get padded, runners go down on the floor, and we take off legs, drawers or glass tops that could slide while carrying.
- 3
Break down and carry
Where needed, bolted frames and cam-lock pieces get taken apart. Heavy items leave on dollies or with two people carrying, and nothing gets dragged over your floors.
- 4
Load, separate and sweep
We pack the truck so donation pieces stay clean and apart from the rest. After that we sweep the empty space and walk through it with you before leaving.
What changes the cost of a furniture pickup
The price depends on how much truck space your furniture takes and how much labor it takes to get it out, which is why we like to see the pieces ourselves. You hear the number before we begin, and it stays the same unless you add more.
- How big and how many
- A five-piece sectional with a chaise fills much more of the truck than a loveseat. Volume matters more than anything else.
- Stairs and the route out
- Upstairs bedrooms, tight stairwells and long carries from the backyard take more labor than a pickup from the garage.
- Taking pieces apart
- Beds, wall units and anything too big to fit through a doorway whole take extra time to break down safely.
- Weight and what it's made of
- Solid hardwood armoires, marble-top tables and sleeper sofas with steel mechanisms are heavier, both to carry and to dispose of.
Common furniture pickup questions
Should I get the furniture outside before you come?
No need. We take it out from wherever it is in your home. A clear path through the room is helpful, but we handle the heavy lifting.
Do you haul mattresses and box springs?
Yes. Mattresses, box springs, foundations and adjustable bases all fall under furniture removal. Adjustable bases are heavy and motorized, so bring them up on the call.
What about pieces that are still in good condition?
Clean, usable furniture gets set aside for donation if a local charity will take it. Charities often refuse pieces with stains, pet damage or broken parts, so those go to disposal.
Is my old sofa worth fixing, or should it go?
Start with the frame. Kiln-dried hardwood with solid joints deserves new cushions or fabric. A stapled particleboard frame that has already cracked usually does not, since fixing it costs nearly as much as a new piece and another break is likely soon.
Do you work in towns near Duluth?
Yes. We remove furniture in nearby communities such as Johns Creek, Suwanee, Lawrenceville and Peachtree Corners. You will find the rest on our service areas page.
