Junk Removal in Duluth, GA

We lift, carry and haul away the things your home no longer needs, from a single broken recliner to a full load of mixed clutter. You get a price before we touch anything, and the crew does all the loading, sorting and sweeping up.

What junk removal covers and when it makes sense

General junk removal is for mixed loads: old furniture, boxes of outgrown toys, a treadmill with a dead motor, yard debris, a stack of carpet pad. If it is in your home, garage or yard and two people can safely carry it, we can usually take it.

It is the right call when hauling it yourself costs more than it looks. A rented truck, a dump fee, a sore back and a lost Saturday add up. So does keeping things you never use. A broken dehumidifier in the basement or a sagging particleboard bookcase is not free to keep, because it takes up space you heat, cool and work around every day.

For larger jobs focused on one area, see our garage cleanouts, basement cleanouts or storage unit cleanouts pages.

What every junk haul comes with

We do the heavy work

The crew picks things up where they are: upstairs bedrooms, crawl-space doors, the far corner of the yard. Nothing has to be dragged to the curb first.

A price in writing up front

We size up the load against our truck space and give you the number before starting. With upfront pricing and no hidden fees, what we quote for that load is what you pay.

Donation and recycling sorting

Household goods and furniture still in good shape go to donation where accepted. We pull out scrap metal, cardboard and some electronics for recycling, which keeps landfill weight down.

Care on the carry out

Bulky pieces go out past padded door frames and banisters, and we keep an eye on tile and stair treads that chip easily.

A clean space at the end

When the last piece is gone, we sweep up. Dust, broken glass and packing foam left behind by the junk leave with us too.

Signs it's time to clear things out

You park outside your own garage
When boxes and old equipment push the car into the driveway, the car takes the sun and pollen damage instead. Clearing the garage protects something worth far more than the junk inside it.
Musty smells in stored items
Cardboard, upholstered furniture and old mattresses soak up humidity in Georgia summers. Once they smell musty, mold is usually growing, and it can spread to things you want to keep.
Broken items you keep meaning to fix
A washer with a failed pump or a chair with a cracked frame rarely gets repaired. If it has sat for a year, the repair probably costs more than the item is worth.
Pests finding a home
Stacked cardboard and yard debris give roaches, rodents and termites shelter close to your foundation. Removing the pile removes the cover.
A move, sale or new arrival coming up
Clearing out before a move means you are not paying movers to haul things you will throw away at the other end.

What sets the price of junk removal

Most of the price comes from how much of the truck your load fills, because that space is what we drive, sort and pay to dispose of. A few other things can move the number up or down. We explain each one during the estimate so you can decide what is worth paying to remove now.

Volume
A few pieces of furniture take a small share of the truck. A full room of mixed clutter can take most of it. Volume is the biggest single factor.
Heavy, dense material
Concrete, brick, roofing shingles and soil weigh far more per cubic foot than furniture, and disposal sites charge by weight. A small pile of rubble can cost more than a large pile of boxes.
Items needing special handling
Refrigerators and window AC units hold refrigerant that must be recovered. Mattresses, tires and old tube televisions also go through separate disposal routes with their own fees.
Access and carry distance
Two flights of stairs, a narrow basement door or a long walk from the backyard add labor time compared with items sitting in the garage.

Junk removal questions we hear often

What items can't you take?
We do not haul hazardous materials such as liquid paint, motor oil, pool chemicals, pesticides or propane tanks. These need county household hazardous waste drop-offs. If you are unsure about something, ask during the estimate and we will tell you plainly.
Do I need to move things outside first?
No. We carry items out from wherever they are, including attics, closets and backyards. Leaving them in place often saves you scuffed walls and a strained back.
Do I have to be home during the job?
Someone needs to be there for the estimate so you can confirm the price and point out what goes. After that, many customers leave us to work as long as we can get into the area, then check the result at the end.
How do you decide what gets donated?
Furniture, housewares and clothing in usable condition go to donation where they are accepted. Particleboard furniture that has swelled from moisture, stained upholstery and broken items usually cannot be donated and are disposed of or recycled instead.
Do you work outside Duluth?
Yes. We regularly take jobs in Suwanee, Johns Creek, Lawrenceville, Norcross and other nearby towns. Check our Service Areas page for the full list.
